lumi and ulla from my webcomic "hemlock". this was done to celebrate 1200 fans over on smackjeeves.

the title for this drawing is “ARTISTIC LIBERTIES: THE MOVIE”, i think. i guess this is some sort of strange hemlock alternate universe set in china, with lumi and ulla dressed in 19th century han ladies fashion. their hair was a compromise - i don’t think han women generally wore their hair with fringes, the photos i was using for reference mostly showed middle partings with hair slicked back and in a bun at the base of their neck. the collars are also wrong.

apologies to anybody who is grossed out by bound feet.
