i thought this was a nice, relatively spoiler-free page with which to do this. i was a bit bored working on circle so i decided to share my method of working with everyone.
this uses page 3 from chapter 18 of circle (18 freaking chapters now!!! and still two more to go >:C). as you can see, ermine has grown up since the first 3 chapters i posted. in this chapter he's (supposed to be) 17 years old.
if anyone has any questions about how to use this program or something, do comment and ask. 185 pages of circle has taught me a few things.
the most important being this program can and WILL freeze every five minutes, so save. every two minutes. for serious.
Thank you for the tutorial! It's beautiful, too, which makes it fun to read.
I'm just at the tail-end of my 30-day trial of Manga Studio Debut 4, only a few days of which I've actually had a chance to play with it between work and such, and am trying to decide whether to buy or cancel. I can't seem to find a way to make the text wrap automatically, which frustrates me to no end, since I'm a writer by trade and can't bear the manual labor of hard returns. Just figured I'd do my due diligence and look into reviews before going one way or the other.
This program seems to have some virtues, looking at your tutorial, so maybe I should think about keeping it ... ... the materials and panel templates seem so useful! Once I figure out how to use them.
You seem to like it pretty well, no? You do a lot of your work in it?
the text wrap thing is annoying, i don't know if there's a way to get around that. i usually just do it manually because my speech bubbles are never very long. i do like it a lot though, i use it mainly for doing speech bubbles, clean-up and screen tones these days
Cool. Maybe next version they'll figure out the wrap. I've got my eyes on my email waiting for their next crazy-good sale so I can snatch the current program up. They had a great deal in February, but ... ... i missed it. So I await the next one.

it depends. i use the debut version which is much cheaper than the ex version. i'm not sure what the difference between them is. debut is about $50, ex is between $130-$300 depending where you buy it.

this was done in debut, not ex (and the version before the current one i think) so i'm afraid i can't help you >_< i'm sure if you ask around someone will know though!
