the word/phrase of the day is... pain

hello everyone~
i'm sorry i'm not around so much anymore, but my last A level is next friday so after that i will be (hopefully). in summary:

:bulletgreen: one of my wisdom teeth is coming out, but there's no space for it at ALL so it hurts like hell and it's right at the back
:bulletgreen: i have an ear infection! woohoo!
:bulletgreen: current progress on circle issue 2 - 39 pages
:bulletgreen: i keep getting these weird aches in my shoulders and collarbone, and it hurts all the way down my arm. i have no idea what it is, but it feels kind of like when you're so hungry that your stomach hurts from being empty, only...in my shoulder. yeah.
:bulletgreen: really, i should have started studying for my last A level exam next week, but i haven't, i've been drawing circle pages instead.
:bulletgreen: i was at the london underground comics "no barcodes" event, at the noobs table, and i sold 8 copies of circle. maybe someone on deviantart saw me there, who knows.
:bulletgreen: i'm in love with tom kenny's voice(s).
:bulletgreen: i'm trying to read freud's "the interpretation of dreams". it's interesting but it is becoming more baffling by the page.
:bulletgreen: read "the kurosagi corpse delivery service". it has my stamp of approval.

that's about it, i think. see you soon!

my eyes. they burn. even so...

TONIGHT, i am making a sincere effort to get through my deviantart messages! i give replying to comments priority. i mentioned it on a deviation, i can't remember which, but after you've been on deviantart for 5 years you get over the whole "OMG favourites and pageviews!!!" thing and start to appreciate comments a whole lot more. i know i'm guilty of it too, but it's easier just to click the favourites button than think of something to write to a person.

i received a box of 40 copies of circle issue 1. they all seem to be spick and span, which is a relief. now i just have to sell them and earn back the £140 i spent buying them. i have long given up hope of making a profit on this shindig though. i shall be content with people reading the story at all. :)

i have 7 weeks of school left until study leave (and then i am basically free forever). i can't bloody wait to leave. i hold to the motto that people only say school is the best time of your life if you have a really boring life.

circle issue 1 is out now! you can buy it here: [link]
it's A5, black and white and costs £5 :)

the word/phrase of the day is... prepare

well folks, the first issue of my comic is nearly done.
it's gonna be about 70 pages-ish, maybe more, containing the first six chapters of the story and a couple of extra random pages thrown in with sketches and stuff. it'll be A5 and black and white.

problem is, dimensions, lulu and all this printing jargon is doing my head in. i had to get my maths genius of a sister help me figuring out various dimensions and percentages and bleeds and stuff and i still don't think it's right. dammit!

the name i finally decided on was "circle". a little bit simple and boring, but i like one word names and it's kinda fitting for the story.

i'm sorry for not replying much, but i'm so busy busy the whole time now. last year of school, applying to art college and suchstuffs.

the word/phrase of the day is... expenses

i've been looking on sites like lulu.com and cafepress.com to see how much it is to print things through them (if anyone has any better suggestions i'm dying to hear them).

it looks like i'm going to have to print my comic in black and white. i can't afford to spend £350 printing just 30 books! maybe i'll have a special deluxe colour edition when it's finished. but i doubt anyone is going to want to spend £15 on a 50 page book (about $30 for some of you).

everything is so expensive.
i got myself some business cards (they're spiffy, they say "mild tarantula" on them~) since i'm going to some "networking" event things soon which is mostly for animation but still useful none the less. they were also expensive, but i managed to convince my dad to pay for them. they should last me a long time though.

and more expenses! £180 to rent one dealer table at the london mcm expo. that's going to put a dent in it, and i don't want to ask people for money to help me out.

anyone want to share a table? £90 each...
